What Guests Are Saying
Hernando Point Campground offers a charming escape with spacious, clean sites and beautiful views, especially along the river. Many guests appreciate the peaceful atmosphere, well-maintained facilities, and the friendly staff, making it a great spot for families and RV owners. While the lake is currently dry due to repairs, visitors still enjoy outdoor activities like walking and fishing in the pond, and they look forward to future improvements.

It looked like it was time for some spring cleanup (brush, tree limbs, grass cutting). We also were disappointed there was no playground for the kids (except for 2 swings). But we loved the location and the nice paved, flat roads in the park for bike riding. Also many of the sites were far enough apart to be comfortable so we were not too close to our neighbors. We plan to return!

the only issue we found was the mens restroom close to our camp site 52. Trash not taken out and only cleaned one time the week we were there. also rarely had paper in handy cap stall

Very nice setting, many waterfront sites. Restrooms and showers reasonably in good shape. Didn’t appear any site managers were on staff. Nice surprise was they had installed sewer connections

Beautiful park with lots of space and a nice view. Level spots with hook ups.

Our area was super clean. No problems with hookups. Only downfall was there wasn’t a pad next to the camper.

I was going to give this park a much more harsh review until I learned that it had been hit hard by a tornado a couple years ago. DO NOT believe the pictures in the website. Lots of vegetation was knocked out by the storm. It is nice that part of their rebuild is every site now has sewer, which is not noted in the park information that I saw. Only 2 of the 6 shower heads in the men's bathrooms in the park worked. It was nice that they did keep the restroom at a nice warm temperature. Had to take trash to a central location no where near the RV area. I wish this park luck and hope it can recover.
Cell service was a MAJOR issue. Although there was a strong cell signal the bandwidth was almost nonexistent. Do not expect to use the internet for either ATT or Verizon.
