We came in for a weekend stay with our 31 ft Travel Trailer. Like most of the other COE Campgrounds, the access road are not in great shape. Just slow down and dodge the pots holes and you will be fine. We stayed in Site 85 this time. It was easily accessible and had a good waterfront view. My only problem with the site is the deck. While it is very nice to have, the surface is VERY slick. Almost to the point of being dangerous. They could really use a good pressure washing. If you like to ride bikes, this is a great campground. It is mostly level with lots places to ride. Overall, this is one of our favorite places to camp.

would be better if there was morefull hookups with sewer also trim back tree limbs to give a better view of the river but overall we enjoyed our stay there

Check in was a super friendly breeze. Camp host even spotted for me while I backed in the site. We stayed in site 83 in a 31 ft Travel Trailer. This spot was a water front with a great view of the river and the waterway. The camp provided some really good bike riding too. We will definitely be back when we get a chance.

We used this campground as a overnight stop. The GPS did not take us all the way. Turned us into a residential driveway. Verify where your GPS is turning you. It is basically at the end of the road.

Our camping trip to Town Creek in West Point Ms. on site 10 &12 on July 15th thru 18th was good , but the lady at front gate on July the 17th was very rude & used cuss words to our son when he came out on July 17th about 10 AM & rude to one of our friend didn't want to let her as a Senior citizen come in the gate @ 630 PM .. (For steak night) This was our first time & because of front gate host on July 17th it will be our last time .We have camped @ many camp ground & this is the first time to have a rude front gate host.

Getting There
From Columbus, Mississippi, take Highway 45 north to the junction with Highway 50. Turn left and follow 50 west past the Tenn-Tom Waterway bridge. Two miles west of the bridge, turn north onto Town Creek Road and follow the signs.

General
- Reservations cannot be made at the campground gate house.
- The campground is closed November - February
- Gates are open from 8 a.m. to 10 p.m.; there is an emergency exit for campers
- Don't Move Firewood: Protect your forests from tree-killing pests by buying your firewood locally and burning it on-site. Visit Dontmovefirewood.org for further information.
- Sites are available for reservation. All reservation must be made using Recreation.gov.
- LOCAL CAMPING POLICIES The America The Beautiful Senior and Access cards are accepted at this campground for discount camping. When making a reservation only one card can be used on one reservation. If multiple reservations are made with one card one reservation will receive the discount and the others will have to pay the full price upon check-in. A camping extension is no more than 14 additional camping days beyond a camper’s initial 14 day camping limit. For each camping extension granted, a camping party cannot exceed 14 days per extension and can only pay for 14 days at a time. Peak Season Extension Policy: Tennessee-Tombigbee Waterway Campgrounds. After the initial 14 day stay one extension is allowed on a non-prime site for a total of 28 days during peak season (March 1- Sept. 15). At the end of this 28 day stay the camper and equipment must move to another campground on the project but may return to the campground after 7 days. If camping on a prime site the camper must move to a non-prime site after the initial 14 day stay. Off Season Extension Policy: Tennessee-Tombigbee Waterway Campgrounds. After the initial 14 day stay no more than one extension will be allowed on a non-prime site for a total of 28 days during the off season (Sept.13 -Feb. 28). At the end of this 28 day stay the camper and equipment must move to another campground on the project but may return to the campground after 7 days. Length of stay on a prime site during the off season remains limited to 14 days. A camper may stay on a prime site 14 days, and move to a non-prime site for 14 days. Extensions beyond the 14 day limit will not be granted during major summer holidays. Please turn in all passes to the park attendant when leaving the campground. Only empty boat trailers are allowed to be parked on grass.
