What Guests Are Saying
Baxter Campground is highly praised for its beautiful scenery, well-maintained facilities, and clean restrooms, making it a favorite for many returning visitors. Campers appreciate the spacious sites, peaceful atmosphere, and helpful staff, contributing to a relaxing experience. Some concerns include maintenance issues and site access for larger RVs, but overall, guests express a strong desire to return.

Great place to spend time! Quiet, clean, spacious sites, water views. Sites closer to the water are well shaded. The only thing to make better would be sewer connection at the sites!

This site is incredibly small! We have small 6 person tent and there was no area to pitch the tent except on the parking path. But that caused our vehicle to be nearly in the road. I would stay at this site again if it were the last spot available because I absolutely love Baxter. But it is definitely not my favorite site.

This site was absolutely beautiful!!! Lots of area to pitch a tent. Close to the water! Lots of shade and perfect hammock hanging spots. The parking pad is very large. This is one of my most favorite sites to tent camp.

The rules on dogs on leashes needs to be inforced. Dogs running loose. You need to give out A rule sheet to the people who have pets. The campers next to me did not want to tie up their dogs. They said they like to run free and get in the water(labs). The pooped where they wanted. That was it for me, I told them where they had pooped. They did pick it up reluctantly. On past occasions dogs barked and barked. The ranger came by and I am asumming were warned? I dont know. Because soon as the park ranger left they were barking again.
We spend A lot of money on owning A camper. It really sucks when those in charge are to timid to enforce the parks rules. The park attendent last year was very good with those who could not or would not enforce the rules. Evict these people who bring tension to the other campers.

The bathrooms need to be fixed so there is proper airflow. They get extremely hot, especially if someone takes, or just took, a shower. It seems more fans are needed, or at least ones that are more powerful.
