We were so thankful to camp after missing 2020 and Baxter Missouri looked good in terms of maintenance. However, I had a question prior to going down and was unable to reach them by phone. They never answered for over a week and the park was open. Couldn’t reach Recreation.gov either. Phone would ring once and go to busy. Couldn’t make a reservation.

The park was a fantastic place to stay. We had no trouble finding it or our camp site. The whole place was clean and well kept. Each bathroom was its own room to include shower, toilet and sink. The boat ramp was close to site where we camped and was easy to get in and out of the water. We couldn’t of asked for a better place to stay. We definitely will be back.

There needs to be some postings around the waters edge that there is no fish cleaning on the edge, or something. I camped there last year and again this year and had to smell dead fish carcus both times. People cleaned fish and they left the remains or they washed up. I had to scoop it up and dispose it up the road to tolerate the smell.

The staff here in the ck in booth and cleaning crew were fantastic! The bathrooms were kept spotless and sites were tidied each day. The only issue we had is the water in the bathrooms would not get warm. Brought this issue up to staff and it got about five degrees warmer, still way too cold to stand under! I have camped here and at Mill creek on Tablerock many times and showers have never been this cold before. Please please turn up the water temp.

This is an absolutely beautiful site! It's steps from the water & swimming area. We tent camp and though there wasn't alot of area to choose from at this particular site, the ground was level. The campground is beautiful and well kept. The bathroom were kept pretty clean, though the floors were always wet and slippery. They are a little walk up a little incline. The roads to the bathroom were pretty slick due to the RV runoff from higher sites. This was marked by signage but there isn't any way to avoid it if you walk to the bathrooms. Nonetheless, this is by far my favorite campsite ever and I have been camping my entire life! I will be back as soon as I can find an date that there is availability!
