What Guests Are Saying
Wade Lake is praised for its stunning beauty, serene atmosphere, and well-maintained campground, making it an excellent spot for family recreation and relaxation. Many visitors enjoyed activities like paddleboarding and canoeing, appreciating the clear waters and picturesque scenery. However, some campers faced challenges with the reservation system, limited space, and occasional noise from generators, though these did not overshadow the overall positive experience.

Lake is beautiful! Site’s parking is pretty small, luckily we only had 1 car, no camper. Tent spot is close to next site’s picnic table area. Nice shade.

Beautiful lake! Nice pull through site. A tent spot next to the picnic table. Enough parking for 2 cars, we didn’t have a camper. Close to bathroom. No cell service in campground some spotty service down at the boat dock.

This is the most beautiful lake we have ever camped at. The water literally looks like the Caribbean and so clean. We camped in a tent at site 6, which offers a great view of the water and is right across from the water spigots and the vault toilets. This is also right by the day use parking lot, but it didn’t bother us any and the people were all friendly. We rented a canoe our last day there and had the best time out on the water. I hope we get the opportunity to come back very soon!

Camp host was awesome. Lake is beautiful. Lots of mosquitoes when we went this time. My only complaint was the people driving too fast through the campground to get to the dock/beach area and putting up a lot of dust. Also, the picnic tables are in need of repair. You can get cell phone service if you drive to the top of the hill above the lake.

We love staying at Wade Lake and have for many years. The campground host was easily accessible and friendly. It’s not the greatest campground for tent camping but that said, we’ve made it work for many years.

Although this spot used to be awesome for the locals, it is now blown up so bad that every spot is a 6 month reservation. Made reservations 6 months ago, showed up, and not a single other person showed up to their reservation and the camp host claimed they got to keep their spot even if it was unattended the first night (which isn’t allowed) All in all, prepare for a shitty time and an even tougher time getting a reservation since everyone has to reserve 6 months in advance

Beautiful spot, with front row views of the lake. It was only a short trail from where you park the car to the camp spot, so it wasn't too big a hassle to unload and carry our camping gear for set up and take down. The spot, while still surrounded by other camp lots, felt very secluded and private. We loved our weekend getaway!
