Was a nice campground. Sharon the camp host was kinda rude. We did not make it on Friday but we paid for Friday and Saturday. She told us she was taking down our reservation because we were a day late. Did not ask if we were ok, just was mad we were late.

This was our second stay at Quartz Flats and, as the last time, we arrived in the rain. However, the site was easy to back into and almost level. The nicest thing about the campground was the incredibly clean bathrooms. Hats off to the Forest Service or camp hosts for keeping them so clean and nice smelling. The highway noise wasn't bad at all.

The just was very gracious and the camp sites were well maintained. They even had fire wood available for there campers. What a turn of events to get free fire wood.

Lovely campsites near the freeway. Fully wooded and lots of sites available with no reservation necessary in early June. One flush tilet bathroom and the other vault toilets were very clean.

Great place for an overnight stop. Not as loud as one might expect. Tucked in the trees above the river.

We have stayed at Quartz Flat CG several times as we travel on I90. Other than the rest area and hiway noise it's a perfect place to dry camp.

This campground is just off of I90 and is accessed via the rest area at Quartz Flats. The spaces are large and well maintained. Even the back in spaces are away from each other to be a comfortable stay. If you are in Loop A or C the trains will not be an issue, they do sound their horn for a grade crossing on the west side of the campground. If you are train person, the BNSF has a main line from Missoula to Cour D Lane that runs by on the west side. You can walk through the tunnel under I 90 to access both sides of the facility. There is water available at various locations near the camp sites to fill containers or fill your freshwater tank on the way out. The dump facility is clean and is well equipped. There are several pit toilets that are very clean and one with running water near the dump station. I stayed in a pull through site, very large and will accommodate my truck and trailer that have a combined length of 50 feet. Generators are allowed and as far as the spaces are apart, you almost can't make out a running generator. Campfires in the fire pits are allowed, I have never been here and been told that a campfire was restricted. The camp host supplies 5 pieces of firewood per day, it is dry and seasoned and makes for a good evening fire.
