People running shop vacuums to clean their car every morning, camp sites are so close you can't even hardly whisper and 2-4 sites can hear you. Traffic at all hours of the night.
First time I've been in a natl campground, they may be for some people but not for my family.

Checking in with reservations means returning to a designated ranger location to let you know that you've arrived. What is interesting is that they think this is normal. We have stayed at MANY recreation.gov campsites and have been to 59 of 63 National Parks, staying at campgrounds when available and they couldn't believe this is NOT normal. What is more interesting is that if we arrived after hours, we just let them know the next morning... so why the need to check in and traveling back to the ranger station? It is interesting that though they thought this was "normal" even another campground in the same NP treated us per normal... just occupy the campsite.

Great site and location, easy access to amenities. Low cellphone access, but close to village. Quiet, peaceful solitude. Friendly, helpful park hosts and fellow campers. Great camping experience!

Lake MacDonald was lovely. Campsite was large and very easy to use. Reservation process was a little difficult to work through as a new subscriber.

Make sure you pick a site on the right side of the road so your awning and door will be on the same side as your fire pit and picnic table.
