Loop D is the best. The only downside is there is only one bathhouse for all 4 loops. I had to track dow n a ranger to find the walking path to it. We had deer come through our site on the way to the creek and enjoyed the sound of the creek at night!

I loved this little campground. The sites are very close to each other and some of them are really on uneven ground, but my site was great. The bugs weren't a problem (in August) and the location is fantastic. Glacier National Park is fantastic.

It was a great experience. Only 2 small issues, "Showers" Large campground only having 5ish showers. (everyone is loving the park) meaning hiking all day then to come back to a line to take a cold shower. #2 generator hours stop at 7pm....not a big deal but again we are talking "Glacier NP" who's sitting at the camp site running their generator to charge batteries when there is soo much to do in the park. I would argue for the experience of Glacier you just deal with these two complaints. Although one of them could be changed very easily.

Fish Creek is my favorite campsite in Glacier National Park. It is right by the shore of Lake McDonald and Fish creeks babbling waters. It's quiet and beautiful. We even had some deer visitors while we were eating breakfast. It's a dream for campers. The only downside is that only loop A has showers, if you're camping in the other loops you are allowed to use the showers, but the lake is right there too!

We camped in the C loop for three nights in August. It was a nice and quiet campground given how many spots they had. Access to potable water and bathroom facilities was good too. We enjoyed being close to Lake MacDonald and swam/paddle boarded there too. We had to get the water craft inspected nearby and it was not too time consuming.

Clean, spacious campsites and bathrooms. Well spaced sites, for a National Park. Courteous, helpful staff.

I was in site A20. I like A loop and the D loop. The C not as much and did not like the B loop. A20 was not the best though. There is absolutely no privacy. It is on the inside of the loop. The outside would be better. Still I do like the campground. It's beautiful and so close to the lake. The shower was never ever hot, just barely warm. That's what keeps it from being 5 star. ALSO it was just hot. I think they should just allow generators all day. We had to check out early due to the heat. It's sad but the climate is warming and they need to adjust in August.

Beautiful clean sites and bathrooms. Well cared for by rangers and hosts. Easy access to the picnic area and trails around the lake without having to drive.
