Many guests appreciate the campground's proximity to the lake and hiking trails, making it a convenient base for exploring Glacier National Park. Wow. This pull thru campsite was on the wrong side for everything on our tailer and you can't tell much from their pictures because they were done with snow on the ground. On C loop there are 2 bathrooms which means, for men, 2 comodes and 2 urinals to service like 50+ campsites. Not enough. They have removed ALL of the grills from the campfire rings so forget campfire cooking. Reason given: attracting bears. Oh really? And dumpster odors within the campground DON'T attract bears? And then there is the no wood from the ground used in your fire rule. I guess they want it to burn really well once a wildfire does start there (or one of their "control burns" doesn't stay controlled) . For some reason only A loop rates the privilege of having showers,
Camping here was necessary because we were going to Glacier which is wonderful and beautiful but the camping at Fish Creek was a detractant from it. I have learned to not expect much at NPS campgrounds and this one delivered.

If you are in a van/camper, make sure your site is somewhat level. We had a very difficult time attempting to level and were unsuccessful. If you are in a tent, the pads are great.

We really enjoyed our stay in the Fish Creek campground. Our campsite was a good size and the other people camping around us were quiet and respectful, for the most part. I noticed park staff regularly attending to the bathroom and generally patrolling and keeping their eye on things. We attended an evening ranger program one evening, which was very well done and informative. The Apgar Visitor center is nearby with a large parking lot, just right for parking all day and catching the shuttle to go up the road to explore other areas. I highly recommend taking the shuttle so you don't have to stress about finding parking, especially at Avalanche and Logan Pass. Plus, then you get to see so much more.

Great campground- very nice rangers and other campers. No showers in the campground except in loop A- somewhat secluded and hard to find.
We enjoyed the facilities and will go back one day!

There are not enough bathrooms for a campground this size.
There is a very nice trail from the campground along the lake shore but the access from the trail down to the beach can be a bit dangerous in places.
Campsites are quite large, although the drive-thru's on some of the campsites are a bit narrow and have some tight curves.

We spent a 3 nights in this campground. We had a campsite near toilets and near water tap. Campsite was quite spacious but little bit close to other sites. Toilets was clean. There are bear boxes for use. Few minutes by car from Apgar visitor center so we used a shuttle buses to go on Going to the sun road.
