What Guests Are Saying
Sprague Creek Campground is a charming and clean site with excellent access to Lake McDonald, making it ideal for tent campers and smaller vehicles. Visitors appreciate the friendly camp host, beautiful lake views, and quiet atmosphere, particularly in the evenings. However, some sites are small and close together, resulting in limited privacy, and road noise can be an issue, especially for those near the main road.

It was a very nice campground, loved the location in the park. I highly recommend it but be aware there is a lot of bear activity. We found fresh bear scat behind our tent one morning(after hearing sounds around our tent throughout the night )

Gorgeous campground, and friendly ranger. We loved our spot by the lake! Best view ever. The only issue was construction noise at night along the road.

The very best thing about our experience at Sprague Creek was the campsite host, Ed! He was so helpful, so friendly, and so passionate about the camp and park. He really added to our excitement about being at Glacier. Our campsite was beautiful-we had a view of Lake McDonald. I had my best sleep of the entire trip at Sprague Creek!

We actually didnβt stay the night we reserved due to weather and schedule conflicts. I love the sprague campground because of its accessibility to the lake.

Such a great campground. Ed was the best Campground host! Simple and quiet after hours. We stayed for a week and had to switch around sites (this is a very busy campground when it's nice out!), but honestly they are all great-especially on the lakeside:)
We will be back!

Nice small campground with a gorgeous view of the lake. The avalanche lake hike is an easy hike near by but worth the trip for the view at the end. If youβre feeling ambitious we saw lots of mountain goats on the path to mount brown which was a fun experience with a beautiful view.
