NPS needs 24 hour gate check to keep free loaders that come in to the campground and take “unoccupied” sites without paying. While we were away from our site and came back other squatters were in our site and had to be told to leave. This happened twice in one week.

Be prepared for lots of wind. Our tent was a bit too large for our site at B85 but we appreciated the view and the privacy brush around us. Everyone abided by the 10pm quiet time rules, and the showers and bathrooms were updated and clean.

St. Mary Campground inside Glacier National Park was quiet and many sites had trees/shrubbery for privacy. One of the only places in the entire park that has a cell signal.
Flushing toilets, a few showers in Loop C, potable water, ranger programs at 8 PM, some accessible sites, picnic tables, fire rings, path to the visitor center, non-electric sites. No timed reservation needed for Going to the Sun Rd when you enter from the St Mary side which was a plus.

Comfortable camping sites. Not too crowded. Easiest access to Going to Sun road. Reasonably close to Many Glaciers area.

Amazing campground! Bathrooms were sparkling clean. We loved the evening programs, especially the Blackfeet performance.

Great to be inside the park already and easy access to all the East side trails and lodge. Showers are loop C were cold but sufficed for a quick shower. Quiet campground with easy direct area parking even for tent locations.

Quiet campground. We had to move the table to set up our 10x14' tent, which limited eating space. There was very little shade during the day, but we had some at night. Because of the lack of trees, strong winds move easily through the campsite. Views of the mountains were amazing.

Beautiful campground! Wide open sites, flat drive ins, great for tent campers and RVs. Showers available and outdoor shower for beach goers. A few sites have some shade.

We stayed here one night since we were hiking into Red Eagle lake the next day. It was great and the flushing toilets in the out houses were a bonus.
