Site was clean, bathrooms clean. The campground was quiet. We went to the educational evening and the ranger was knowledgeable and informative to listen to.

We were in loop C. I love how the sites were all located on each side of the loop, leaving the middle an open field.

We absolutely love Glacier National Park, however, the campgrounds are a bit spartan. We stayed in B84, which was conveniently located to restroom and water, but the sites themselves are pretty bare. No trees, unlevel sites, not very well maintained. The campground hosts were excellent and provided daily walk arounds and very helpful info on hiking and trails. We also stayed in the Apgar campground which was significantly nicer, in terms of the site layouts, the natural beauty, and support staff available. We pull a small camper which was somewhat of a challenge in both campgrounds. I realize Glacier caters more to boondocking and tent camping but compared to other National Parks in similar settings they are a bit less accommodating. Don't get me wrong, we had a great time, and will definitely come back, just trying to give some honest feedback.

First off the bathrooms were kept amazingly clean. One day I witnessed the workers cleaning them and they did a very thorough job. The sites for camping were pretty nice. We had one on the outside of the circle which gave us more privacy. St. Mary Campground is close to the Visitor Center and the town of Saint Mary in case you need wood, supplies, or want to go out to eat. Rising Sun Pizza was delicious! It is also conveniently located so that you can visit Many Glacier, Two Medicine, and even Apgar sections of the park. Very convenient to Going-to-the-sun road from the East which you don't need timed entry for. We enjoyed our five nights camping in St. Mary Campground very much.

Glacier was beautiful. This campground was not. Roads/paths are very rough/destroyed. Tent pads in most of the sites were non existent. The host and rangers bothered several campers numerous times about how their vehicles/campers were parked claiming it had to do with vegetation although the same small gravel/rock covered all of the campsite and weeds/vegetation were more prevalent in the intended driveway that the rest of the site. When asked why this wasn’t mentioned in the campground rules/regulations they had no answer. We stayed at Fish Creek Campground with absolutely no issues prior to traveling east and staying at St Mary’s and I would rather make the drive across the park daily than stay at this campground again.

I really enjoyed this campground. Ot was peaceful despite a lot of people at the sites. The showers were located on loop c and there were only 4. Each camp site seemed to be different sizes, so I wish I would have known heading in the size of the site since we have a bigger tent, but it worked out and was overall a nice place to camp. Will stay here again if we get the chance to visit Glacier National Park!

Nice campground. Decent bathroom on loop A. Very quiet. No bear boxes at each site. That is disappointing. I know they cost a lot but at Yellowstone and Grand Teton, every site had its own Bear boxes which was really nice. There was a Bear box for everyone to use which I didn’t feel comfortable using.

Very nice campground really liked the vaulted toliets and the showers was a great surprise ! The hikes were close but unfortunately didn’t get to do the
Grinnell glacier or avalanche trail because of the closure ..or also drive the road to the sun loop to Macdonald lake from st Mary’s

The campsite is large, each site has fair amount of privacy with trees blocking. The site has free shower. The site master is very friendly.
