We enjoyed staying inside the park. The campsites were clean, and the bathrooms were fine, but the showers in St. Mary campground were closed when we were there which was an inconvenience.
We took the shuttle from the St. Mary Visitor's Center into the park on 1 day, and drove the other. We had to wait for the 3rd shuttle of the morning because when we got there a little before 8 the first one was full, and there were enough people waiting to fill the 2nd shuttle as well. They sent the larger shuttle for the 3rd run--on the day we were there, it seems like it would have made more sense to send it for the first or second runs, but that may change from day to day. We had no trouble getting into the park using our 3 day pass, and while the parking areas were busy enough we couldn't always find parking right away, we usually were able to get a spot after driving around a bit.

Ideal location near many-glacier area, also gives access to going-to-sun roadway. ATT service was decent for a remote area.

Showers were fantastic, clean, large, lots of hot water! Ranger nightly lectures are a must!
Funny, informative and they were all so well spoken! Special highlight was Ranger Frank John! Our 40β trailer site was a bit tight but doable, and happy to have a site βinβ the park.
Given the age of when these sites were created were lucky we fit at all, lol You can miss all the road construction going to St Mary, by turning in Browning, MT and take Hwy 464 ( Duck Lake Rd) instead of going straight up Hwy 89, which was a huge mess!! We came back out this alternate route and it was fantastic.
Glacier NP will not disappoint!

The campsite was good. The restroom was clean. This campground is just off the Going-to-the-Sun-Road, and access to St. Mary Lake and many hiking opportunities. We really enjoyed our stay.
