What Guests Are Saying
Murray Bay Campground is well-maintained and offers a beautiful, peaceful environment with private sites and access to water for kayaking and fishing. Camp host Mr. Smith is highly praised for his kindness and attentiveness, and the facilities, including clean restrooms, contribute to a pleasant experience. While the remote location requires a longer drive, many visitors find it worth the trip for the serene atmosphere and amenities.

Clean and quiet campground. After the Memorial Day week end, the campground had very few people in it which was a surprise as I was only able to book 2 nights in March.

A great distance back on a dirt road, but once there it’s worth it. Wife and I agreed it was worth the extra 15 miles to camp there instead of the closer Emery Bay. (If you get one of the prime lakefront spots and have no desire to go into town, I suppose.). The beach front was great for our kids to play on, wade in the water and throw rocks. Fishing was a bust but no fault to the campground. We camp a lot in Montana and both agreed it’s a top 3 campground / campsite. Won’t tell you our top 2 though, gotta find them yourself!! Hungry Horse to me is the best kept secret of Montana if you have a boat. It’s BEAUTIFUL.

This was a great find! Hardly anyone else there when I went, a Thursday night in early June. Nobody much on the water. Gorgeous views. The gravel road is long, but it's wide and mostly smooth so not really a hardship. Buggy - make sure you bring nuclear grade spray. Ground squirrels and camp robbers wholly unafraid of people. There are bear-proof food storage bins for each site as well as a water pump. Clean bathrooms. Highly recommend!

Absolutely beautiful camp ground. Was only a 45-50 min drive to glacier park from the camp ground. Perfect location for those who want to be secluded in nature.

The campground host was extremely helpful and professional. With loads of campers and day use parties, he had to enforce rules which he did tactfully, respectfully and effectively. Kudos to Shane!

We climbed Great Northern, it was a killer but it was great to get in the lake after we were done!

My girlfriend and I camped at 4 locations over the course of a week. This was by far our favorite location, from the views, water access, and the incredibly friendly and helpful camp host. We can't wait to come again in the next couple years!

We loved the campground. Our view of the lake was awesome. Our only thing we didn’t like is it is not clearly marked on how to get to the campground. Directions on the website are terrible.
