What Guests Are Saying
Echo Bay Campground offers beautiful scenery, clean facilities, and is conveniently located near Valley of Fire State Park. Many visitors appreciate the spacious campsites, good views, and availability of a nearby store for supplies. However, some negative aspects include a lack of camp hosts, inconsistent maintenance, and limited access to water, which may detract from the overall experience for some guests.

Echo Bay lower campground is a nice place for an overnight stay because it is close to other attractions. The campsites are well positioned to be out of the wind and there are nice trees and bushes around the campsites to offer some shade. The bathrooms are old and some of the toilets had issues while we were there--which thankfully were fixed the following morning. It would be lovely if more money and resources were alloted to the upkeep of this nice campground.

The campground road is rough, as were the people camping. Lots of Oleander and Burro poo - Watch your dogs. Of all the national parks we’ve visited, this was the worst.

2.4 miles to hike to get to the water! This is NOT a water front property! And once I finally got there the gravel was slipping into the water and there were huge thorns and prickly bushes everywhere! Soook bad for small dogs!! 😭😭😭 other than that the sight I picked was nice and private and so quiet and shaded. But others were very small and very very close together so nice others moved it not so quiet lol. But I enjoyed the clear beautiful sky’s and the darkness and no one around! Wonderful clean restrooms! Just didn’t have a light inside. So bring a light! And no cell service u less you go back up the mountain behind it.

Upper campground was closed which is the better campground with the better bathroom. Didn't see the camp host at all. They are still residing in the upper closed campground.

The lower campsite is in bad shape, needs repairs and maintenance. Bathrooms are old and need a deep clean. No sign of any park rangers. Seems like the park has been abandoned.

Easy access, site very close to bathrooms. Very quiet when we were here for New Year's Eve. Would certainly return!
