What Guests Are Saying
Echo Bay Campground offers a lovely, quiet environment with beautiful desert views and entertaining wildlife like burros and roadrunners. The campground is clean and well-maintained, with spacious sites for a relaxing stay, although some sites are small and close together. While there are challenges such as limited shade, occasional maintenance issues, and the absence of a camp host, many visitors appreciate the peaceful atmosphere and convenient location near attractions like Valley of Fire State Park.

27 was a smaller spot. Spots are close together so you will hear all your neighbors. Site has bathrooms but were not upkept well. Broken toilets and no toilet paper. Scenery was OK. Beautiful night skies. The appeal is driving down to the lake (will be a longer walk). Swimming available at the lake.

Camp sites are large. Potable water nearby. Host was friendly. Toilet facilities very dated and poorly maintained.

We didn't mind having to go online to pay for our spot. The reason we didn't give 5 stars is because not all the spots were on the website.

Requested a specific site to do astrophotography, but when I got there someone was in my space. Luckily was not busy so took another site for 2 nights which no one claimed. Could have been a problem if it was crowded. Also no ranger was available and 2nd bathroom was locked.

Camp sites were inaccurately described. We selected site 7 as is was supposed to be a 50 ft long site and showed as a pull through it was impossible to get our truck and 22 ft trailer into the site and open the pop out the entire site was along the side of the road and about 10 ft wide if you put the truck touching the table and the trailer door in the bushes.

The campground is not being taken cake of at all. The bathrooms need a total makeover, the lights didn't work at all. I feel that this campground is going to be shut down. It was very busy over the weekend while we were there. We've camped there before and it was beautiful. It can't be a lack of water. We watched people come in and fill a 500 gallon water tank, others with 100 gallon water bladder. I guess I'm very confused with why I hasn't been taken care of.!!!

This out of the way camp site on the banks of Lake Mead, Nevada was not full, nor did it appear that it would be. Nevertheless, there appears to be a strict policy of requiring reservations all the time. No amount of pleading with the camp ground host would make an exception. He told us to "go up the road" where we could get a signal to get on the internet where we could reserve a site. To my surprise, that worked, else we would have had a long drive to - who knows where- probably dispersed camping, which we were prepared to do.
