Pretty campground, lots of shade, far enough off the road to be quiet, plenty of space between camp sites and its nice and dark at night! Easy hike to Jemez Falls.

Very nice, large campsites on Loop 4 plus NO GENERATORS ALLOWED!

A thoughtfully laid out and maintained campground. Many trails out of the campground and nearby, including a short hike to the falls

My experience arriving at Jemez Falls campground beginning 11 August 2023. I received an email stating there would be a gate code from 1 - 31 August, upon arriving there was no need for a gate code.
I stopped at the camp hosts site to introduce myself and figure out which site I was supposed to be at, but there was a sign stating not on duty on the door of his camper. It struck me a bit odd to not be on duty on a Friday evening when the majority of your weekend campers are arriving.
I got to the site I purchased for use and found the sign Chavez 7/15 - 7/17. This was not only at my site but similar signs at every site. I maintained a copy of my email just in case there was an issue. I walked around the campsite and each and every site stated someone was staying at the site somewhere in July timeframe even though it was august.
The camp host had NEVER driven around on his golf cart to introduce himself or to even check in to see if I was even a paying camper. The vaulted toilets were not maintained as the toilet paper was running out and it appears that the toilets hadn’t been emptied or cleaned in a very long time. Fire pits were full of garbage and old burnings.
I knew we were in stage 2 fire restrictions, so no fires at all in the campsite, yet Friday night I counted four different fires at various campsites. On Saturday I stopped the USDA Law Enforcement Officer and he confirmed that there were stage 2 fire restrictions in place. I told him there gad been fires the night prior, and they were aware there gad been fires but they can’t be everywhere and rely on the camp host to notify them if the violation.
Saturday evening I seen two other campsites with fires. Why was the camp host not even patrolling to see if there were fires. These hosts are the worst I have ever seen at any park I’ve visited. Something needs to be done about this as having fires at Stage 2 Restrictions is extremely dangerous.

Stayed for work. Nice site close to field work site. Much more affordable AND under per diem (if you're searching for that) compared to literally anything in Los Alamos. "Naturally air conditioned" via higher elevation and tree cover. Gorgeous hiking nearby and two NPS sites. You know, for that post-workday-wow you may be looking for. Never saw the campground host. Neighbours kept apologizing for their off-leash, untrained, unresponsive dogs despite campground regs clearly posted. Did not know how to report this rudeness.

Hike to Jemez Falls was awesome with easy access to the trailhead from the campground. Camp sites were not labeled with the correct reservation names and dates, but there wasn't a conflict. Like most camp sites however that are "booked" majority of the sites were not in use in loop 1 but unavailable in the system.

Beautiful location and very quiet. Only downside was that pit toilets were extremely full and smelled terrible and the campground host didn’t seem to be around. We didn’t see them the entire 3 days we were there. Very nice campground and spaces and spread out.

Do not pick this site if rain, other than drizzle, is forecast. Typical monsoon evening rain totally flooded this site with no place for tent. Had to abandon.
