What Guests Are Saying
Black Canyon Campground is praised for its cleanliness, well-maintained facilities, and beautiful surroundings, making it a favored spot for campers. The spacious sites, friendly camp hosts, and proximity to hiking trails and Santa Fe enhance the overall experience. However, the lack of water has been a consistent issue, and some visitors have reported problems with caterpillar infestations and site accessibility.

Very nice campground with close proximity to downtown Santa Fe. There has not been any water available for several years and this is a problem. There are numerous hikes to take nearby that border the road to the Santa Fe Ski Basin.

Excellent campground surrounded by hills and beautiful pine trees. Good hiking trail that starts in the campground.

Beautiful camp sites and a great location. Vault toilets were clean. Unfortunately no potable water or firewood. Also no recycling.

Park is very scenic and quiet. Sites are well placed and reasonably private. Staff was friendly.

Outhouse and water situation is biggest negative. We were prepared for no water in advance. But the outhouses were already full 5 days into season? Some were closed when we arrived. Some were closed while we were there. Some doors didn't lock and marginal maintenance

Excellent location close to town but still in a lovely forest. Nice large campsites.
