What Guests Are Saying
Black Canyon Campground is praised for its cleanliness, well-maintained facilities, and beautiful surroundings, making it a favored spot for campers. The spacious sites, friendly camp hosts, and proximity to hiking trails and Santa Fe enhance the overall experience. However, the lack of water has been a consistent issue, and some visitors have reported problems with caterpillar infestations and site accessibility.

Our site was beautifully situated amongst the trees, however the bathroom was filthy - the worst I've ever experienced in a campground - and it remained uncleaned for our entire four-day stay with the same trash and puddle of urine on the floor. Terrible!

Nice little campground. Hosts were flexible and responsive. Potable water would have been nice.

Great forest service campground only about 25 minutes from Santa Fe Plaza. Large & shaded sites. Know that it is DRY, no water at all. Generator hours 8 am - 10 pm.

Beautiful site, quiet place, no "vistas" but good to get up to the mountain.

Still no water and that’s a hassle. Neat clean campground close to Santa Fe with excellent hosts. We’ll be back soon.

Frequent generator use by host was a bit irritating. Also , a dump station is needed. Beautiful campground.

Gorgeous camp ground. Ample space between sites, super quiet atmosphere, great tent pads and fire rings. So close to Sante Fe and was a great location to sleep following tours of Bandelier NM, Pecos NHP, and Fort Union NHP. Could not ask for a better experience.
