What Guests Are Saying
Black Canyon Campground is praised for its cleanliness, well-maintained facilities, and beautiful surroundings, making it a favored spot for campers. The spacious sites, friendly camp hosts, and proximity to hiking trails and Santa Fe enhance the overall experience. However, the lack of water has been a consistent issue, and some visitors have reported problems with caterpillar infestations and site accessibility.

A beautiful campground, one of my favorites. There really isn't a bad site if you're tent camping. Clean vault toilets are available, but you must bring your own water as the water spigots in the campground are currently not working. Very friendly hosts when I was last there.

We were informed they did not have fresh water so therefore we did not go and it cost as much to cancel as it did to just let it go.

Campsite was a tight fit and right next to road so noisy. No cell service at all. Beautiful campground but be careful which site you reserve!

Loved it here! The campground was full and the host was amazing and helped us relocate to another site.

Wonderful, large campsite. Zero reception, as is mentioned, even with a booster. This made it a little scary with small children, but the drive to reception isn’t all that far. All sites are large and spaced apart. Can’t wait to return!

It was quite disappointing how noisy some people can be with music in a public campground as well as how disrespectful they are with not picking up their own trash.
I found all of the trash receptacles full and the toilets in a disgusting state with poo on the floor and find this unacceptable as someone is supposed to be managing the campground.

This is a very nice campground. The hilly terrain provides a nice third dimension to the layout that gives privacy despite proximity.
