Really liked the trees and access to bathrooms. Signs for the beach were a little confusing but we found it.
Well maintained.

Too much noise well after quiet time passed, till 1:00 am in fact. A group of young people in the glamping area were yelling and screaming. The campground host and the staff did nothing about it. I mentioned this to the staff when I checked out. Also, on Saturday a family camped behind us and let their 4 kids run around and through everybodyβs campsite including ours until I yelled at them to stop that behavior. Doesnβt the campers read the campground rules? Thereβs a lack of patrolling by staff to keep things under control. We visit these places for rest and relaxation and to appreciate nature not to hear people yelling and screaming!!

Friendly host but they need to do better job at keeping grass/weeds cut at campsites and on sides of road. We've camped here many times and this is worst I've seen overgrowth at campsites and on shoulders of road.
Handle on toilet in bathhouse fell off; maintenance has taken a backstep at this wonderful campground.
Trails running through campground by lake are well maintained but I think that's another group of people keeping trails maintained.
Please don't let this wonderful campground go to weeds.

Beautiful campground. Very nice bathrooms and showers. There are so many sites to choose from. Had a great time riding our bikes and did some fishing. We will definitely be going back!!

Campground was great. Site was very spacious and somewhat private. Bathrooms and showers were top notch with cleanliness and water pressure/temp. All of the staff was super friendly. Will definitely be back.

Lake Powhatan is our β Happy Place!β We camp here every year. The campground is so beautiful, wooded, shady and quiet. We love the access to unlimited hiking trails and its close proximity to Asheville for restaurants and microbreweries. The staff is always so nice and accommodating!

The sites were amazingly wooded and private! It was one of the more secluded sites I have ever stayed in. Itβs super close to Asheville while being totally in nature. Highly recommend and would stay again!!

We only stayed overnight and did not have an opportunity to explore the entire park. However, our site was very nice -- shady, paved, and close to the restrooms. Park staff at the entrance was very polite and helpful.
