Lake Powhatan offers a fantastic location near Asheville and the Blue Ridge Parkway, with well-maintained, private campsites and friendly staff. Campers appreciate the beautiful, serene environment and the variety of outdoor activities available, including hiking and biking trails. While some noted issues with the swimming area and occasional noise disturbances, overall, guests had a positive experience and expressed a desire to return.

Really nice campground! Sites are very private. Bathroom and showers are inconspicuous, and conveniently located in center of each loop, with a private pathway from each site. Beautiful lake with private picnic tables and grills. Overall, a very pleasant stay, and an easy 10 minute drive to Asheville! Can’t wait to return! I stayed in Lakeside loop site 51.
