Small campground at the end of a road in the middle of Pisgah National Forest, perfect! Very woodsy, shaded spots, lots of privacy. 10 minutes from the Blue Ridge Parkway and North Carolina Arboretum. About 20 minutes from Asheville and Biltmore. Lake is more of a pond, but trails everywhere!

Overall we love this campground and the nearby trail and gravel road network. Our only complaint is the water pressure in the showers on Hard Times loop is very, very poor so consider that when booking your sites.

Campsites are nice and secluded from neighboring campers. The bathrooms are cleaned regularly. Staff is helpful and pleasant. Will camp there again in the future!

My sight was clean and ready to go. Very short walk to the shower house. (Bathroom/shower was very clean) . The person working the gatehouse was very helpful.

It was my first time camping in the staff at the front gate was very knowledgeable and very patient. They explained exactly how it all worked. The campsite itself was easily navigable and scenic. Not to mention the bathrooms and the showers, which were convenient and very clean. I highly recommend this campsite, especially for any first timers.
