This is our favorite site when camping in a tent as it has electric for our Cpap machines. We were crazy and tented in winter but found it enjoyable. Campgrounds have recovered from Hurricane Helene. Bathrooms and showers were spotless. Highly recommend!

We found Lake Powhatan to be a delightful place to stay in the Asheville area. It was easy to find and close to several other attractions. The facilities were easily accessible, clean and well maintained. The staff were kind and friendly.

Very nice campground with close proximity to Asheville and Biltmore Estate. Stayed in a full-hookup site. Nice paved site fairly level. Good AT&T signal. Sites were nicely spaced.

Negatives:
- Showers: Water temperature was between warm and lukewarm. Water pressure from top shower head was not up to par.
- Toilet: one of the toilets was marked out-of-order due to faulty door lock. During our stay of seven nights the door was never fixed. campground should have replacement items (door levers) on-hand.
Positives:
+ Bathrooms were heated. Thank you.

Lake Powhatan is one of my fave places to camp! The sites and bathroom/facilities are always well-kept and clean. And the showers bathrooms are heated, which is great because they are open all year. The staff is always very friendly and helpful. I love that there's some amount of woods between each site so it doesn't feel like they are on top of each other. There are lots of hiking trails around, but the campground is nice to walk around, too. It'll be my go-to place for this area!
