Loved being in the woods surrounded by the peace of nature but yet close to business amenities and the perks of having access to the NC Arboretum’s trail systems

Personnel at the gate are very friendly and helpful. I love that’s it’s super natural and quiet, even the beach area. Selling firewood and ice at the campsite was so convenient! Only took off 1 star since the water never really got warm or hot in the showers.

The campground is beautiful and clean. I had an issue with my camper upon arrival. Don and Marissa went out of their way to help me, even though it was after hours. My son and I keep commenting on how friendly the staff were. Strongly recommended,

I enjoy it at Pow' and I can see improvements to the sites. The cost has gone up enough that i cannot afford to go as much as before. Please. No more price increases!
I look forward to trying to fish and be by the lake - I did not get to this time.

Came all the way from south Florida! It was my first time ever camping! we did tent camping and i had the most amazing 9 days at Lake Powhatan. The campsite is beautiful! trees everywhere so it’s mostly shaded and cool! the bathhouse was clean and the showers were warm. I loved it so much! Can’t wait to be back.
