The campsites are spacious and private - ideal. I loved having the paths and lake nearby as well. The woman at the check in gate couldn't have been nicer - we'll be back.

We've stayed at Lake Powhatan many times and have always had a great experience. The staff is friendly, the sites and bathroom are kept neat, and the quick access to excellent mountain bike trails are a major bonus. We'll definitely be back.

Like Powhatan is definitely our preferred campground! It's quiet, clean, and the sites are large enough to feel like you have a lot of separation from the adjacent camper.

Overall, my fiancée and I had a lovely time at Lake Powhatan. You can’t beat the proximity to Asheville, the scenery is beautiful, and the facilities are great for the most part.

Beautiful campground with well spaced sites. Our site had full hook ups and it was level and very pretty.

We stayed here post Helene. The campground was completely cleared of any downed trees as well as the road. The town still had no potable water but the campground ware is potable. Reliable electric. Some parts of Asheville still in tough shape but the businesses appreciated us being there to support them.
