I went swimming in the lake and it was 2-3 ft deep in mud. I have been sick with a waterborne illness since that day. It has been 6 days now. There is not enough of a swimming area for fun. Not enough bathrooms and lines to get in. Too strict on leaving ANY items out at campsite. Non food items included. The camp guy came by while we were gone for an hour and out all our things in the bear trap. We were upset and thought out stuff was taken. Fortunately, I thought to look in the bear trap and our things were there. Still felt violated. All our food was in our vehicle. All reverence and respect for the bears. It is over ran by loud children, which leaves me no interest in being in the lake. In this small areas. There is a he of bacteria in this lake and unfortunately, there is something wrong. I have had waterborne illness in the past and this has been horrible.

We had a wonderful camping trip. All the sites are large and clean. The showers were very clean. My only suggestion would be to have better marked trails. But overall everything was excellent. We can’t wait to return!

We loved this park, especially the wooded campsites with lots of privacy and the close proximity to the trails to the Arboretum.
