A basic campground, restroom's are clean, but have no hot water or showers.
Gravel pads are large and level, but need some weed killer on in places.
Sites are not to close to one another..
Great location for tubing and playing in the creek.

Brought hammocks and were able to fit three setups on site 77. I used a YOBO Hive stand on the pad. Nice campground.

We timed it just right by accident. Kids had gone back to school and Labor Day was the coming weekend. There was an amazing lull. One night we were the only two people in 80 spots I believe. We did see one or two other people come and go during the time we were there. The river was low, so the rafters were not many in number. Hiking was excellent. The weather was cool. It was the best way to enjoy a beautiful place. Our first trip. And the town of Bryson city couldn’t be cooler. Very nice place. This is my favorite gateway to the Smokies.

The campground was quiet midweek in the summer, shady, and well maintained. The sites were spaced pretty well apart and the bathroom was clean. We borrowed an electrical outlet from a lovely camp host and enjoyed a great hike as well.

Clean bathrooms, a sink to wash your dishes, beautiful sites. It was my second time at Deep Creek and I can't wait to go back!

We love spending time at Deep Creek and have been there every summer for 44 years. In spite of the lack of hook-ups and services, we enjoy the National Park campground. The creek provides great entertainment for all ages.
However, we have seen a steady decline in the campground's maintenance. They have fewer staff to maintain the grounds and facilities which leads to standing water, mud, dirty restrooms, and generally looking run down.

I’ve been camping at Deep Creek for 60 + years. My two favorite campgrounds are Deep Creek and Cades Cove. It is so nice and serene. I live in Maggie Valley about 45 minutes East of it and still go there at least a couple times a year. Whether you’re young or old you’ll have the time of your life. Tubing is probably the best in the smokies. There are 3 water falls you’ll want to see. Bryson City is minutes away. Hope you have a wonderful time
