Campground is in a nice location near the river and beach, sites are large and spaced out for the most part. Lots of restaurants and groceries nearby.

Take time to go walk the trail down the way from the campground. Check out the nearby small communities. Beautiful area.

What a great little campground! Very quiet and lots of shade. We never even made it to the beach, as we were enjoying the company of good friends around a campfire. We are local to the area, but friends always stay with their rv when passing thru. This year we decided to join them, along with a few other friends.
Bath house clean.
Till next year!

The sites are some of the largest we've ever stayed and very nice. Lots of birds present, including ospreys that flew over us at our campsite. I'd give it 5 stars except for the one negative of the showers - you can't control the temperature. The showers are sometimes cold, sometimes warm, and sometimes very (too) hot.

Located near areas to explore, nice campsites, restrooms fairly well maintained.

It was early in the season but all was quiet. I loved having shade trees in most sites. The shower/ toilet building was clean. I loved listening to the nocturnal birds. The occasional war bird fly over was an added bonus during the day.

For the most part, the stay was fine. But, the showers didn't seem to get cleaned. I saw the same pile of hair in one shower for 3 days.

Because of its proximity to the coast, Cedar Point is sometimes impacted by hurricanes and tropical storms and must be closed temporarily. These storms generally occur from July through September. It is always wise to check the weather forecast prior to your arrival, particularly during these months. |
