Cedar Point Campground is praised for its clean facilities, spacious sites, and friendly hosts, making it a peaceful and enjoyable place to stay. We were here for just one night (travel waypoint) but put it on our list of places to potentially visit longer term. Bathrooms and showers were nice (upgraded).

Showers and toilets were not cleaned. Out of 4 showers 1 was out of order and 1 didn’t have a lock. We have been camping at Cedar Point for the past 4 years and this year the lack of maintenance is very noticeable.

Nice campground but Host was nowhere to be found on the first day.She did not show up until dark. Grass had not been cut in weeks.I was there for a week and on my sixth day they only mowed the Host campsite.

The overall experience was very positive. If there was anything negative it would be the cleanliness of the bath house. It needed a lot of attention and did not feel very clean. This is contrary to my previous visits when the bath house has been just nothing short of immaculate. Camp host was very helpful and friendly. I did get to meet the new camp host and he seems like a very good guy. I look forward to coming back soon.

Peaceful, beautiful campground with level, paved sites near the Emerald Isle and northern outer banks coast. 3 miles from Food Lion, 40 minutes from Beaufort NC and the ferry to Shackleford Banks and Cape Lookout. Second time staying here - sites have power (experienced some brown outs) and water faucets in campground, but not at individual sites.

Had a great trip but spoke to Cole the manager at New Bern He was supposed to help me get my refund on the visit I had in 5/18 there was no camp host so there was a change approved but I was still charged for 2 sites. I am on SS so every little bit helps

We arrived to find the previous campers were still in our reserved spot. The camp host was awesome about it and put us in a first come first serve site that was better then our reserved site so we were happy about that. The other campers actually stayed two additional nights at our reserved site which was something that has never happened to us in almost 10 years of camping. Not sure if they paid or just stayed two additional nights for free. I hope this is not a trend that we see in the future cause it is ridiculous and people need to have their camper towed away for it. Other than that everything was good at Cedat Point as usual.

The sites were well spaced, level, and wooded. The bathhouses and grounds were very clean despite their age. The campground overall was peaceful and quiet. The trails in the national forest were stunning. Would highly recommend this campground.

Because of its proximity to the coast, Cedar Point is sometimes impacted by hurricanes and tropical storms and must be closed temporarily. These storms generally occur from July through September. It is always wise to check the weather forecast prior to your arrival, particularly during these months. |
