Bath house unattended first 5 days of stay
Grass hadn't been cut for a while
When grass did get cut it was by someone that knows nothing about keeping grass clippings off campsites and drives
Camp host very inattentive to needs of campground said couldn't get needed funds for upkeep

Cedar Point Campground is absolutely the best campground near the coast of NC. It is very clean and quiet. The bathhouses are clean. The hosts are available if needed.

We arrived on a Sunday evening around 7 PM - to find our site occupied by vehicles of a large crowd of people gathering on the site next to us. We had to ask for these vehicles to be moved before we could occupy the site; and had to deal with more than 20 - 25 older adults who were gathered around OUR campsite's fire ring. When I asked about this to some of these individuals, I was told "There's more shade there." I reminded them that this fire ring was on MY campsite, and received insulting rants as a reply.
The next morning, these same people were gathered less than 15 feet from the back of our RV, and had multiple people walking right past our bedroom windows because that was the most convenient path to the bathhouse. Again, asking for consideration and respect for our privacy resulted in being told "We've come here as a group every year for a long time, so just deal with it."
I checked online for open sites, then walked the campground to check those out. Then approached the campground host and requested a move to another site away from this large group that was using our site as their gathering place. At first I was told that this was not allowed. I responded that either we would be allowed to move, or I would leave, request a refund, and post as many negative reviews as I could. I then received a begrudging approval to move. To have to deal with such insensitive and rude behavior ruined our trip. Add to that the repeatedly noted problem with no temperature control over the water in the showers and we pretty much decided we won't ever come back to this campground.

Campground is in a nice location near the river and beach, sites are large and spaced out for the most part. Lots of restaurants and groceries nearby.
