This is really a very beautiful park which could use some updates and there are some fun activities to take in….fishing, swimming and hiking are all excellent…One of the things visitors need to be aware of is that ticks, yes ticks, infest the campsites. I know that sounds strange, but I’ve been to dozens of parks and this is the first time I’ve ever run across ticks in a park. They might consider some insecticide spreading on the campgrounds.

It would be great to have recycling and the showers cleaned each day! Otherwise this is a great place!

We loved this campground- spaces weren’t on top of one another & bathrooms/showers were clean. Wooded sites can be a bit buggy so remember your citronella candles & bug spray! Loved walking the boardwalk trail right down from the campground- hoping to return next spring!

We stayed in site #20. It is the only pull-thru and is quite private and large. It is an electric only site. Friendly camp host. Roads are easy to navigate. Streaming with AT&T can be a bit sluggish but watchable. About an hour from Cape Lookout National Seashore. Plenty of breweries in the area. Convenient to shopping.
