What Guests Are Saying
Jackrabbit Mountain is a beautiful campground with scenic lake views and well-maintained hiking and biking trails. Many campers appreciate the clean bathrooms and spacious, private campsites, making it a great spot for families and nature enthusiasts. While some facilities could use improvement, such as the bathroom hooks and the absence of firewood for sale, the overall experience remains positive, with friendly hosts and a peaceful atmosphere.

The camp hosts were very friendly, the sites were clean and pretty level. We went into Helen for July 3 - it was very busy, but fun. We hiked the second day on the trails at Jack Rabbit and they were very well marked and maintained. The bathrooms were ok on the cleaning and well stocked, needed soap. Overall, we would be very happy to come back for a longer stay. Beautiful lake and area.

A beautiful campground with easy access to the lake and mountain bike trails. Excellent for families with kids (who can ride their bikes around in circles through the campground). Will definitely be back!

A great campground on beautiful Lake Chatuge.
Campsite and all areas were very clean. Campsites pretty close in some areas, but more spaced in others.
Bathrooms a little dated, but clean even though quite buggy. Probably would be less buggy in there if the exterior lights weren’t right by the doors and the inside lights were on motion sensors. But hey, it’s camping. There are two bath houses on both loop a and loop b. Loop c only had one.
Host was very nice. He patrolled through the campground several times during the day and evening. I felt safe knowing he was keeping an eye on things.

One of my favorite campgrounds! It was so much fun! We caught so many fish and the campsite was fabulous! Site 20 is a lake front site with easy access to the water for swimming or kayaking.

Jackrabbit is an awesome experience! Most campsites are very private with good lake access. Enjoy some mountain biking while you are there also.

Very quiet on the weekdays, filled up on Friday. Our sight (7) was lake front and shaded. Beautiful view of the lake… easy access for swimming and kayaking right from our site.
