What Guests Are Saying
Jackrabbit Mountain is a beautiful campground with scenic lake views and well-maintained hiking and biking trails. Many campers appreciate the clean bathrooms and spacious, private campsites, making it a great spot for families and nature enthusiasts. While some facilities could use improvement, such as the bathroom hooks and the absence of firewood for sale, the overall experience remains positive, with friendly hosts and a peaceful atmosphere.

Just a beautiful very clean campground, beautiful lake & scenery, good size camping sites, half of the sites are lakeside, good place to camp & swim to get away from your everyday life. Great for a family with kids. And it’s out in the country.

Jackrabbit was a terrific experience for my family. Campground was exceptional in management and very clean sites and facilities. For a non hookup campground rules were well followed by the other guests regarding generator run hours and camp Fires. Campground Host was outstanding considering that he did the majority of the maintenance work in the park. Always helpful and friendly but had firm control over unruly guest who didn’t follow the rules. We will be back for sure!!

We loved our camping trip at Jack Rabbit campground at Lake Chatuge. The campground was very clean and our site was right beside the lake with beautiful views. The host was so nice and helpful. He gave us some tips on the best fishing spots and baits to use. We will def be going back as soon as we can . Jack Rabbit is a awesome place.

Like the updated showers. A lot nicer than when I was a kid in the late 70's.

Nice park on the lake. Research sites carefully, many sites near the shore have difficult access. Many sites have very little shade as well.
