What Guests Are Saying
Jackrabbit Mountain is a beautiful campground with scenic lake views and well-maintained hiking and biking trails. Many campers appreciate the clean bathrooms and spacious, private campsites, making it a great spot for families and nature enthusiasts. While some facilities could use improvement, such as the bathroom hooks and the absence of firewood for sale, the overall experience remains positive, with friendly hosts and a peaceful atmosphere.

Love camping at Jackrabbit. The grandaughter and her friend had a great time at the swim area. Love to walk the loops in the morning and evenings.

Great campground with lots of water access sites. We stayed at 13A; which has no shade between noon and 5pm if this is important to people that research the campsites. It is also very close to site 15. Nice, level gravel tent site pad; large enough for our tent and a childs tent. Very clean campground, hot water showers and clean bathrooms. The campground host was very helpful in providing local information. We love that we never had to get into our car to hit the mountain bike trails. The connecting 1.5 mile campground to trail loop was a nice surprise; we got to avoid riding on the road. There is no firewood to be purchased; must be bought outside the campground. No campstore available. Can't wait to come back!

I love Jackrabbit. It is my favorite campground in Western North Carolina. The campsites are lake-side and private. Swimming, kayaking, mountain biking, fishing, hiking are all easily accessible.
