What Guests Are Saying
Jackrabbit Mountain is a beautiful campground with scenic lake views and well-maintained hiking and biking trails. Many campers appreciate the clean bathrooms and spacious, private campsites, making it a great spot for families and nature enthusiasts. While some facilities could use improvement, such as the bathroom hooks and the absence of firewood for sale, the overall experience remains positive, with friendly hosts and a peaceful atmosphere.

This was our second time to Jackrabbit and we've enjoyed ourselves both times. We will definitely be back! Our latest trip was in late October and the leaves were gorgeous.

Great camping next to a fun set of bike trails. Would be great if they could add more mileage.

Fall was beautiful, the campgrounds were wonderfully quiet because we stayed Sunday through Wednesday! The bike trails are fabulous and the camp hosts do a great job too!

Our camp host was excellent. He was very knowledgeable about the area and had great recommendations for site-seeing. The campground was very quiet, well-maintained and clean. Our cell phone carrier is Consumer Cellular and we had great reception. The campsites are well-spaced and spacious. We are looking forward to our next visit. Thank you.

It was very clean and the spots were nice. The camp hosts were great. We had an incident that required medical attention and they were great about the whole thing. I really appreciate their help. There wasn’t soap in the bathrooms, which I found odd but we just used our own back at the site.

Coming from Hiawassee there are no signs directing you to this campsite, only a road sign that says Jackrabbit Mountain Rd. The usual brown forestry sign with the name is not there. The mailing address takes you to a local church on the road using gps. At that point you believe you are lost and this is not the right road.
Campsite was clean but parking the camper was a chore mainly because the site number pole hugs the drive entry causing a complicated back in with the camper.
