What Guests Are Saying
Jackrabbit Mountain is a beautiful campground with scenic lake views and well-maintained hiking and biking trails. Many campers appreciate the clean bathrooms and spacious, private campsites, making it a great spot for families and nature enthusiasts. While some facilities could use improvement, such as the bathroom hooks and the absence of firewood for sale, the overall experience remains positive, with friendly hosts and a peaceful atmosphere.

This place is absolutely stunning. The lake is beautiful and the camp is extremely clean. Highly, highly, highly recommend this place. Only thing I would say is that the sites are separated well, but neighbors are extremely loud. Generators, kids, loud people...the area is an echo chamber and any noise is amplified.

My family and I had a wonderful experience at Jackrabbit Mountain Campground! The host was helpful in making sure we found our way to our campsite upon arrival. We appreciated all of the amenities that the campground offered; hot showers, restrooms, etc. There was no hand soap in the restrooms so definitely make sure to bring your own, and there is a small bench in the shower room for placing clothes, towel, etc; my husband and I ended up pulling a camping chair into the shower room for added space, because with a one year old, we needed more dry space to place our clothes. It is a family friendly and dog friendly environment. When making the reservation I was afraid that the hiking trails would be too easy for us, but the trails were fairly moderate in difficulty for hikers. The hike itself boasted glorious views of the lake, beach, fields, and forest. Our view from campsite 65 in loop B was beautiful! We woke up every morning to a view of the lake, and with the trees changing colors at this time of year it was an enchanting view. Check out was made simple by reserving online and the host was kind enough to ask us about our stay. We will definitely be returning to Jackrabbit Mountain in the future!

Wonderful campsites on the water. Very clean campground. Shower house has large spaces and clean.
We enjoyed the Mountain Bike trails. Looking forward to another visit after they add another 5 miles to the trails.

We have a 15ft trailer and Booked into Loop C #86. The website showed #86 can accommodate a 15 foot trailer and allowed us to book.
However it is impossible to get a trailer onto the camping pad. The pad is accessible only via wooden steps. Most of the Loop C sites are like this.
We double-checked with the camp-hosts who said this is a common complaint from with trailer owners on Loop C. Only one or 2 of approx 20 camping pads are trailer-accessible. They are fine for tent camping.
So we had to setup camp on the access road as directed by hosts. AND we had to drive the trailer the wrong way around the loop (as directed by camp-hosts) so the camper door, awning, etc, would face the woods, rather than the road.
For us Loop C was a sub-prime trailer-camping experience - be VERY careful if you book on Loop C with a trailer.
Apart from that Jack Rabbit was pretty cool with some great trailer sites on the other loops.
