My dad and I loved Van Hook Glade! It was so well-maintained and pretty. The campsites aren't too far apart, but the way they are set up you have plenty of privacy. Marla, the camp host, was so kind and helpful - we enjoyed talking with her. Definitely check out Cliffside just down the road from Van Hook. There are so many great sites nearby as well - Cashiers Farmers Market, High Falls, Rainbow Falls/Turtleback Falls, Silver Run Falls, Dry Falls...endless activities! I'd love to come back in the summer next year and definitely recommend staying here.

Campground was very clean and well-maintained. Restroom facility was very well-cleaned. Our campsite was along a small stream which provided the soothing sound of rushing water. The camp host was excellent, very helpful and nice. Our cell-phone service is Consumer Cellular and we did not have service. A short drive to a town in either direction provided coverage. Looking forward to our next visit.

The host was amazing and very nice. The facilities were immaculate for a campground. The campsites were also very private and well maintained and the nearby cliffside park was beautiful. The only downside is that all the cool trails are about a 10-20 min drive if that's not an issue. We will be back!

Wonderful, friendly and attentive camp hosts. The weather in Highlands is constant rain which makes for not great camping. Nice showers and bathrooms, 15 minutes to downtown Highlands. Cons are road noise.

This was a stunning campground. It's nestled in the trees so while it is small, all of the sites have privacy. We had a small 10 ft trailer and didn't have a problem navigating to our site, bigger trailers and RVs will have a problem getting in. Highly recommend tent camping here
The bathrooms were so well maintained and impeccably clean even though we were there on a long weekend.
The hike from the campground up to the lake was beautiful. The lake has a small beach area perfect for a quick dip. We also drove to the Whiteside Mountain Trail, which was busy and the parking lot filled up quickly. A second attempt later in the day was successful and the views were stunning. Well worth the wait. There is also a breathtaking waterfall just up the road that is also worth seeing.

The camp hosts were very cooperative, and the facilities were nice and clean. We've been to Van Hook Glade 3 times, and all the visits have been good...but this one was the best, in large part to the hosts.

The campsite was very level and easily backed into. The showers and restrooms were clean and the water pressure for the shower was excellent. The campsites were clean and well maintained.
