Small, beautiful, quiet campground near Highlands, NC. Not for large trailers or RVs. There's a tight loop at the end of the campground that was difficult to get around with my small truck and 17 ft trailer. There are older, but clean restrooms and showers and potable water spigots, but no water or power at individual sites. There are several hiking trails and waterfalls nearby and a small but picturesque lake next door!

Beautiful campground, wonderful location (10 minute drive to Highlands if you need something). Nice hikes, waterfalls, rivers in the area. Hostess was super nice!

I love this campground because it is small and mostly for tent campers. There were a few issues with the bathroom showers - no hot water. This is the first time in the last 20 years that I have gone to Van Hook Glade and the showers would not get warm water. The host was very nice and told me that parts were ordered to repair the water heater but there were few plummers that were available to do the repair and he had it scheduled for the following week. I survived and completely enjoyed my camping trip.
