Pros- The campground and sites were very clean and shaded.
Cons- It is loud. Cars and trucks constantly zooming by so it’s quite loud and not a very relaxing camping experience. The bathhouse was clean but had so much air freshener that it was an instant headache, you smell for hours after using the restroom and the wind carried the awful chemicals throughout the campground.
If you like chemical headaches and lots of noise this is the place for you. We only stayed one night instead of the two we reserved.

Pretty campground. Bathrooms clean but only hot water. In the summer makes a taking a shower a steamy process.
The town of Highlands and the surrounding area has grown a lot. The traffic on Hwy 64 is constant making it quite noisy most of the time. Only quite late at night which is kind of a bummer.

We loved the wooded campsite. It was cool in July and we were able to access water for swimming nearby. The camp hosts were very kind and thorough. We did not see any bears, but heard they were around. I would stay here again for sure.
