Beautiful campground, wonderful location (10 minute drive to Highlands if you need something). Nice hikes, waterfalls, rivers in the area. Hostess was super nice!

I love this campground because it is small and mostly for tent campers. There were a few issues with the bathroom showers - no hot water. This is the first time in the last 20 years that I have gone to Van Hook Glade and the showers would not get warm water. The host was very nice and told me that parts were ordered to repair the water heater but there were few plummers that were available to do the repair and he had it scheduled for the following week. I survived and completely enjoyed my camping trip.

Had a great stay as always. Besides the host we were the only ones there staying. Even though the burn ban was implemented we were still able to enjoy the charcoal fire cooking (lol). It's always so quiet and peaceful staying there. That's why we love it and always come back.

Pros- The campground and sites were very clean and shaded.
Cons- It is loud. Cars and trucks constantly zooming by so itβs quite loud and not a very relaxing camping experience. The bathhouse was clean but had so much air freshener that it was an instant headache, you smell for hours after using the restroom and the wind carried the awful chemicals throughout the campground.
If you like chemical headaches and lots of noise this is the place for you. We only stayed one night instead of the two we reserved.
