Small campground which was about 75% occupied on a weekday. Busy daily recreation area, lots of trout fishermen using area also. Camp hosts personable and available. Will definitely visit again!

We enjoyed our time together at the park. It was a little cooler than we had hoped but we caught some great trout! What a really great time with the grandkids.

Campground/site: Well maintained, beautiful area, lots of trees/shade. Good flat spot for rooftop tents.

Camp hosts: Friendly, helpful, provided useful info and firewood!

Bathrooms: clean and functioning! Shower house had heated toilet stalls. Shower stalls were nice and fairly clean, but did not quite drain properly in the stall I was in. Nothing to hang or set soaps on really.

Atmosphere: Generally quiet and peaceful. Lots of people around fishing and recreating aside from the campers. People near me came in at 10:30pm, left car running for a long time, and then made noise until after 1am. Then I saw them pulling branches off of live trees to keep their smoking campfire going (burning live brush won’t work broh especially after it’s been pouring rain for days. If you are going to camp, learn how to camp! See tread lightly dot con for example!

I enjoyed my stay and would return.

Starlink: With major interruptions.

Great campground, some of the sites are small but we were able to book a double site right on the river which had a ton of space for two families. Some nice trails for the kids to explore right in the campground. Bathrooms/showers were clean and well kept. Camp host was super nice and helpful - found some really great hiking 20 minutes away in Pisgah National Forest. No cell service at all (have to drive about 5-10 minutes to get a signal. For as remote as the campground feels, you’re only about 10-12 minute drive from grocery, ace, food, etc which was super convenient. Highly recommend!

Very nice, quiet campground! My husband and I enjoyed camping here. You can hear the river from your campsite (we stayed on site 8) and it was a short walk to an afternoon of fly fishing. The bathrooms were old, but clean. We will definitely camp here again. Also, we had to run back into town to buy firewood, but it’s a short drive. We also recommend Mills River Brewery which was close to the campground.
