What Guests Are Saying
North Mills River Campground offers a serene escape with beautiful scenery, clean facilities, and friendly hosts. Campers appreciate the well-maintained sites, proximity to fishing and biking trails, and the peaceful atmosphere without cell service. While some showers had water pressure issues, the overall experience is positive, with visitors looking forward to returning.

First there was NO sign saying turn here for the office to check in. I drove down a very poor dirt forest road with my camper. Almost could not turn around. Second this park needs serious maintenance. The vegetation is way overgrown since the last time I came. You need to cut back the trees and the overgrowth everywhere. They need an electric plug to use in the restroom for shaving and blowdryers. . Also the vault restrooms by my campsite were closed. Way too many fishermen are using the stream. No place to sit and enjoy the stream. This place has gone downhill in the last few years

Grounds were well kept. Camp sites are spacious and the bear box is most helpful.

I enjoyed four nights at this campground. I was camped in Site 012. It was a little tricky to back into with my Ram 2500 and Kimberley T3 (24.5β Australian camper) because of the angle of the site in relation to the road. Site 011 would have been much easier. But once situated, it was a great site. The campsites are large and there is a quite a bit of space between sites which provides more privacy than Iβve experienced in most campgrounds. The campground was very well kept and clean. I didnβt see any trash, etc. anywhere in the campground. The campground host was very attentive and sociable. He allowed me to charge my E-Mountain Bike each evening at his campsite after my daily rides. That was very helpful because of the amount of foliage and sporadic sunshine that limited my ability to keep my lithium batteries charged with my solar panels. The campground has no Verizon cell service but you can get service within a mile or so if you drive towards the supermarket which is about 10 minutes away. I didnβt use the restrooms but did fill my water tanks and the water was fineβno odd tastes. The campground wasnβt full while I was there, but I suspect that it fills up when schools arenβt in session and when the fall foliage attracts more visitors.

This is our 2nd time at this campground, and I'm sure we will be back. We come to mountain bike, and LOVE that we can roll right our of our campsite and climb up to the trails! The river being right there is great as well. Very well maintained and laid out.

Small campground which was about 75% occupied on a weekday. Busy daily recreation area, lots of trout fishermen using area also. Camp hosts personable and available. Will definitely visit again!
