We LOVED this campsite. The location was beautiful, the site was spacious, and had everything we needed for tent camping. We loved how close the campsite was to South Asheville and the Blue Ridge Parkway as well.

We loved staying at this campground! The couple running the ground was always available if we had questions. Bathrooms were clean and accessible. Very cozy vibe; will definitely be visiting this campground again in the future. β10/10β would strongly recommend tent camping here!

Had a great time. Quiet and clean. We were in site 5. There is a vault toilet not shown on the reservation site map 10 feet from the site. Luck had it that it was closed. Before going to North Mills I suggest you visit Google and look up what Poison Oak and Poison Ivy look like. I know it is a forrest but it was lining the camp site and even growing around the bear box area. We had dogs with us so we were careful that they stayed out of it so when petting the dogs we didn't get it. Bath house very clean but no hot water when we tried to take showers. Could be that someone used it up before we got to it? Asheville about 35 minutes and there is a great Ingles grocery store near by. No cell but Starlink worked well.

We camped in our Scamp for 4 nights a couple of weeks ago at the peak of the leaves and it was magnificent!. Our Tacoma had no trouble taking the dirt and gravel road up to the Parkway. I think it may close in winter. I was able to get in our spot ok because the dimensions were correct but I wish there had been a picture on the website. That is helpful in selecting a site. The ranger and host were great.
