Honestly the cleanest and nicest campsite I have stayed at. Fairly small sites which wasn't an issue for me, so if you have a group you may want to get two. Make sure to bring your own firewood--not a whole lot of options close and a lot of the wood laying around was fairly wet.

The campsites themselves were well maintained, and the hosts came around daily and were friendly and helpful. The campsites we stayed at (20 and 22) were more exposed to other campsites than we would have preferred. The major negative was that the toilets (glorified port'a'potties) were so unbearably smelly that they were unusable.

I was in site 5. While not creekside you could still hear it. It’s an elevated site, you have a quick trip up some stairs. But the privacy is perfect! Surrounded by trees and brush but don’t wander into them. Lots of ticks! Bring water as there is no spigot. Absolutely no cell service either! If you continue through the campground along the dirt road it brings you right out to the Blue Ridge Parkway! I will def be back! If You are not concerned with privacy, site 3 and 4 are creekside and close to the vault toilet. The door doesn’t shut so be quick!

The facilities were kept clean. I love that there are bins for recycling. It’s a great primitive campground.

Great location for MTBers wanted to explore the trails in the vicinity. Clean sites and toilets. No showers, but creek at camp provides opportunity for desalting and degriming.
