Great campground with big sites. Only drawback was no hose connection to rinse out black tank at dump station.

The host was very friendly and helpful.
The camping area was clean and a lovely site to stay at.
The rest rooms and shower were clean and maintained daily.
And you can't beat the price per night.
It is a 35 to 40 minute drive to the coast with plenty to do.
We will return again!

Not a lot to do at the campground. Beaches are “gone” nothing but cliffs left!
No place to fish!

No beach access and posted fines for those who try. Campground was quaint and quiet as expected. Bath house needed some exterminator attention to get rid of some of the residents. Trails were nice. Little bit of a pain to open/close the manual gate to access loop, but good to keep only campers traveling the road. Nothing too negative, but not a stay I’ll do again.

Fantastic campsite. It was very quiet and clean. The host was attentive and friendly. The beach access was closed but the views of the river were great. New Bern, Morehead City, and Beaufort were close by for activities. We will be planning a return trip.

A clean and peaceful campground. Very clean bathrooms and showers. Camp hosts are very friendly.
I wish the water area was open.

My only complaint is that the beach/fishing area was closed. While I didn't walk down to it my teenage grandchildren did and they felt like it could have been used. This was the drawing point that brought me/us there.

We had a very pleasant time at Flanner's Beach. It was disappointing that the access is closed to the River. Hopefully the Forest Service will get that open soon.
