Beautiful campsite on Badin Lake.No electric but water, toilets and showers.Level campsite with table and grill.Fishing was super.Host(Krystal) was very nice and helpful.

Would not get this site again, as we like to be on the water due to kayaking.. This site is at the entrance. And not near the water.

Overall a great night of camping. Bathroom was nearby. Pretty easy to find with signage. Thankfully it was relatively quiet but we could hear other people talking most of the time.
Only drawback is that most of sites were quite close to each other and not much blockage from trees.

Overall a great night of camping. Bathroom was nearby. Pretty easy to find with signage. Thankfully it was relatively quiet but we could hear other people talking most of the time.

This was my 3rd time at this campsite. There are awesome views. The lake right at the edge of the site. Nice shooting range right down the road. Had a great time there.
It was a nice stay except for the camp host, or someone staying with them, would fire up a very noisy vehicle at about 5am every morning. So much for sleeping in during vacation. The camp host also has some very barky dogs.

Loved the location. Needs some work, fire rings rusted out, showers not working properly, picnic table need work. Overall though it was a good stay.

From Troy, North Carolina, take State Highway 109 north for approximately 10 miles. Turn left onto Mullinix Road (County Highway 1154), and travel approximately 1.5 miles to a stop sign and "T" intersection. Turn right, and go approximately 2 miles to another stop sign and "T" intersection. Turn right, then make a quick left and travel about 1 mile to the campground.
Badin Lake Campground is accessible via State Highway 109, which is located approximately 10 miles south of the campground in Troy, NC.
Elevation: 160 feet
15 mi drive to downtown Troy (about 25 min)

Safety & rules
- Prescribed burns may occur throughout the year, potentially causing smoky conditions.
- Respect fellow campers by keeping off-highway vehicles on designated roads and trails, and control children and pets in the campground.
Fees & deposits
- Single site rates are $20/night and $10/night with Access or Senior Access Pass; double site rates are $40/night with no discounts available.
Site types & loops
- Campsites 17 and 19 are first-come, first-served with no hookups; alcohol and fireworks are prohibited.
Vehicles & parking
- Off-highway vehicles are allowed on designated trails from April 1 to December 15, with required trail passes and trailering for unlicensed vehicles.
