What Guests Are Saying
Badin Lake Campground offers a peaceful and scenic environment, making it a great choice for those who enjoy rustic camping and proximity to hiking trails. Many visitors appreciate the quiet atmosphere, clean campsites, and friendly interactions with fellow campers. However, the campground's restroom facilities could use significant improvements, and some sites are closely spaced, impacting privacy. Overall, campers enjoy their experiences but recognize the need for better maintenance in certain areas.

The open area of the sites are very small. It sits right on the lake but the lake front area is very swampy. Our site was not cleaned up, the fire pit was filled with ash, there were juice box wrappers and straw wrappers everywhere. The gravel that they use for the sites and road is mixed with something that is very ash like. It gets everywhere. I've stayed at plenty of places with gravel but nothing that is so dust producing. Where's the playground for the kids or beach ? I'd say this would be a good campground for hunters, but firearms aren't allowed. If you come and want an ok water front pick 9 or 13. Even though this places is closer to home, I don't think I'll be back, I'd rather drive further and have a better campground.

Badin lake is our favorite place to vacation. There are a few things that have changed lately that concern me. I still recommend going here. It's a fun place to go boating, riding trails, or just relax.
