What Guests Are Saying
Badin Lake Campground offers a peaceful and scenic environment, making it a great choice for those who enjoy rustic camping and proximity to hiking trails. Many visitors appreciate the quiet atmosphere, clean campsites, and friendly interactions with fellow campers. However, the campground's restroom facilities could use significant improvements, and some sites are closely spaced, impacting privacy. Overall, campers enjoy their experiences but recognize the need for better maintenance in certain areas.

Badin Lake Campground has always been one of our favorites and site 13 in particular is where we want to stay when camping there. When we arrived, my husband went to use the male bathroom right by the campsite and found the toilet to be stopped up. My husband immediately went to the camp host to report it and the response we got from the camp host was less than favorable. He told us he was not given supplies to take care of the bathroom like this, said "they" only come every other week to clean the restrooms and that he (the camp host) would just lock the bathroom and place an out of order sign on the door. He told my husband he would just have to walk and use one of the other bathrooms. This was the July 4th weekend and the campground was sold out so the bathrooms were busy. Also, we're not sure where it was coming from but someone either on the lake or around the corner at another campsite was playing music loudly until nearly 1am. We never saw the camp host come out of his unit and make rounds. Thankfully someone from the forestry service did come and fix the issue with the men's room by our campsite the next morning. Also, this campground is starting to show its age and things are VERY worn. Unfortunately, we won't be back anytime soon......

Great event with the kid's fishing thing. There was a group being a little loud after hours at the campsite, but it really wasn't that huge of a deal. They weren't that obnoxious.

We have been camping here for almost 30yrs. We love it. There's never any trouble. People respect others for the most part. The lake is beautiful! It's not perfect, but we love it!

Our site was great, we used our generator with no issues, wonderful trail all to ourselves to the lake. We had our own oasis lakeside. We left our kayaks and paddle-board by the lake with our chairs and nobody bothered them. We camped at site #16.
Only recommendation is to have the bathrooms and showers d-bugged. Spiders, spiders 🕷 everywhere. Would definitely go back.
