What Guests Are Saying
Badin Lake Campground offers a peaceful and scenic environment, making it a great choice for those who enjoy rustic camping and proximity to hiking trails. Many visitors appreciate the quiet atmosphere, clean campsites, and friendly interactions with fellow campers. However, the campground's restroom facilities could use significant improvements, and some sites are closely spaced, impacting privacy. Overall, campers enjoy their experiences but recognize the need for better maintenance in certain areas.

Camp sites were well taken care of, with the exception of a few fire pits that had holes rusted out. Stayed in site 16. Plenty of tree cover without feeling shut off from sunshine. Bathrooms were nice and stocked. Potable water spigot easily accessible. Trails were being updated at the time, but they were still nice! Will definitely be back!

Busy campground on the weekend and nearly empty during the week. Nice spot. Showers were not very warm.

The lake was lovely and we enjoyed hiking and biking down to the point.
My one problem is that there are only 4 total stalls as restrooms at the lower level campsites and they are only cleaned every 3 days, even in the summer! (I could see the calendar/sign in on the back of the door.) Ours was cleaned on Thursday before the weekend and then mens room was locked from the inside, so everyone used the ladies room and it was filthy. The host didn’t have a key, and the other bathroom sometimes had a line for the ladies room. This wasn’t the comfort level I’m used to at NC State Parks.
